What a daycare day looks like

Drop-off starts at 6 AM. Each cousin gets a calm arrival: a sniff around, a potty break and a few minutes to say hello to the pack before play starts. Mornings are the most active part of the day, with supervised play, sniffing and exploring in the Cousin Yard.

We're in southwest Port St. Lucie, minutes from I-95 at Gatlin Blvd, so drop-off fits easily on your way to work. Exact address shared after your Meet & Greet is booked.

Midday is quiet time. Dogs come inside to drink, rest and decompress on the couch or a favorite spot. We don't aim for nonstop stimulation: a dog who only burns energy is not always a balanced dog. The afternoon brings another round of yard time and guided social time, then a slower wind-down before pickup, which runs until 6 PM.

During the day I send photos or videos so you can see what your dog is up to. At pickup I tell you how the day went: energy, rest, and how your dog got along with the cousins.

One thing to know up front: our cousins spend the day together as one small pack, not separated by size, energy or age, and I supervise them personally. If your dog is anxious or reactive, please tell me. After a prior evaluation at the Meet & Greet, we'll determine how we can best help your dog.

Half-Day: a shorter visit

Half-Day is a 5-hour block for days when your dog needs company and movement but not a full day: short workdays, errands, appointments, or a first visit to see how your dog likes the pack. The clock starts at drop-off, so a 9 AM drop-off means a 2 PM pickup.

The latest drop-off for a full 5 hours is 1 PM. Later drop-offs are welcome, but the session still ends by 6 PM at the same rate. Need a little more time? Extended Time follows the same approval-only rules as daycare.

Daycare for puppies

Dogs under 1 year old are billed at the puppy rate for daycare and Half-Day. Puppies join the same small pack as everyone else, so introductions happen gradually and at your puppy's pace: short, supervised first contacts, plenty of rest breaks, and more time with the group only when they are comfortable.

Please bring your puppy's vaccine records to the Meet & Greet so we can confirm they are ready to join the cousins.

Coming every week? Meet the Cousin Club Pass

If your dog comes regularly, the Cousin Club Pass turns daycare into a monthly membership with a reserved spot, priority on busy dates and a lower cost per day than single visits. The MWF plan (Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 13 days a month) works out to about $38 per day for an adult dog, compared with $45 for a single day.

The COUSIN Method

New cousins follow the same six steps, so the first day feels familiar instead of overwhelming.

  1. C

    Connect

A free, 30-minute Meet & Greet on a Saturday. You see the home and yard, your dog meets the pack, and we talk about your routine.

  2. O

    Outline

We outline your dog's profile: feeding, medications, health notes, vet of record, energy, play style and anything that stresses them.

  3. U

    Unite

Your dog joins the pack gradually, with supervised introductions and breaks, until they are comfortable with the group.

  4. S

    Share

Photos or videos every attendance day, sent before pickup.

  5. I

    Inform

At pickup you hear how the day went and anything I noticed that you should know.

  6. N

    Next

We plan the next visit and what to keep working on, so every day builds on the last one.

What paw-rents say

From our Google reviews — read them all

— Andrea H., Google review
“All the pups were sleeping and the background music was to die for. When he returned home he was very happy, not withdrawn like the other times when he had been to doggy daycare.”

Frequently asked questions

What are the daycare hours?

Daycare runs from 6 AM to 6 PM, every day. A Half-Day is a 5-hour block inside that same window.

How does Half-Day work?

Your 5 hours start at drop-off. The latest drop-off for a full 5-hour block is 1 PM. If you drop off later, the session still ends by 6 PM at the same rate.

Is there a free trial day?

No. The Meet & Greet is free, but a trial day is paid at the normal Half-Day rate ($30 adult, $35 puppy). It is the best way to see how your dog does with the pack.

What if I'm running late?

Extended Time is available by prior approval only: up to 4 extra hours for $25. 10 PM is the absolute cutoff for pickup.

Are dogs separated by size?

No. Our cousins spend the day together as one small pack, not separated by size, energy or age, and I supervise them personally. If your dog is anxious or reactive, please tell me so we can evaluate it at the Meet & Greet.

When do I pay?

Daycare and Half-Day are paid in full at booking or at drop-off. Cancel 48 hours or more ahead for full credit; later cancellations and no-shows are charged.

My dog comes every week. Is there a monthly option?

Yes. The Cousin Club Pass is a monthly daycare membership with a reserved spot and a lower per-day cost than single visits. The MWF plan (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) is the one we recommend for most regulars.
